One Direction

One Direction commonly initialised as 1D are an English-Irish pop boy band based in London, comprising Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. They signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after forming and finishing third in the seventh series of the British televised singing competition The X Factor in 2010. Propelled to international success by social media, One Direction's three albums, Up All Night 2011, Take Me Home 2012 and Midnight Memories (2013) broke records, topped charts in most major markets, and generated hit singles including "What Makes You Beautiful", "Live While We're Young" and "Story of My Life".

Their achievements include four Brit Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards among many others. According to Nick Gatfield, the chairman and chief executive of Sony Music Entertainment UK, One Direction represented a $50 million business empire by June 2012. They were proclaimed 2012's "Top New Artist" by Billboard. According to the Sunday Times Rich List, by April 2013 they had an estimated personal combined wealth of £25 million $41.2m making them the second wealthiest musicians in the UK under 30 years of age. After the release of Midnight Memories, One Direction became the first band in the US Billboard 200's history to have their first three albums debut at number one. Additionally, the album was a global success, debuting at number one on the UK Albums Chart, and became the biggest selling album worldwide of 2013.

One Direction have been recipients of two BRIT Awards—winning their first with "What Makes You Beautiful" for Best British Single at the 2012 BRIT Awards, three NME awards, two Kids' Choice Awards, and four MTV Video Music Awards, among other awards. One Direction won all nineteen awards they were nominated for at the Teen Choice Awards. One Direction also won two American Music Awards out of their two nominations for Favorite Pop/Rock Album and Favorite Pop/Rock Band/Duo/Group, respectively.

Pawan Kalyan

Pawan Kalyan is an Indian film actor, director, screenwriter, and politician. His film works are predominantly in Telugu cinema. He is the younger brother of actor turned politician Chiranjeevi.

Kalyan made his acting debut in 1996 Telugu film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi. In 1998, he starred in Tholi Prema which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for that year. He is known for his work in films like Gokulamlo Seetha, Suswagatham, Thammudu, Badri, Kushi, Jalsa, Gabbar Singh for which he received the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu, and Attarintiki Daredi which became the highest grossing Telugu film of all time. He was listed 26th in the Forbes India list of top 100 Celebrities of 2013. As of 2014, he holds a net worth of INR18.5 crore US$3.1 million.

In March 2014, he ventured into politics, founding the Jana Sena Party.Subsequently, a poll conducted by NDTV, listed Kalyan, as the most searchable Indian celebrity politician on Google.

Rakul Preet Singh

Rakul Preet Singh born 10 October is an Indian film actress who appears mostly in South Indian films.

Rakul did her schooling from Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan. She has been an active golf player and played nationals. Rakul was a student of Mathematics at Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi, and had been engaged in modeling for more than two years prior to entering the Miss India contest in 2011. Apart from the Miss India Poll, Rakul won four subtitles at the pageant including Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face, Femina Miss Talented, Femina Miss Beautiful Smile and Femina Miss Beautiful Eyes.

Rakul made her film debut with the 2009 Kannada film, Gilli, a remake of Selvaraghavan's 7G Rainbow Colony. She stated that she signed up for her first film "with the aim to earn a little extra pocket money" and that she was unaware "how big south Indian films were". She won critical acclaim for her role in the film before returning to complete her degree and compete in the Miss India pageant. She returned to films in 2011, featuring opposite debutant Siddharth Rajkumar in Keratam, though critics noted that she "got very little screen time". The film was also made in Tamil simultaneously with the same cast but a different director as Yuvan, though the film is yet to release. In 2012, she appeared in a supporting role in the Tamil film Thadaiyara Thaakka.

In 2014, Rakul debuted in Bollywood with Divya Kumar's directorial debut Yaariyaan and in the Tamil film industry with Yennamo Yedho. She has been signed for four Telugu films, which are directed by Sriwaas,] Nageshwara Reddy, Srinivas Reddy and Gopichand Malineni, respectively.
